Worthy Brewing is a regional brewery in a place we call “Beertopia”. Our brewery has the capacity to brew 30,000 barrels, our restaurant and biergarten can comfortably serve 1,300 guests on a summer day and we are opening a “Taps and Tacos” restaurant in the heart of downtown this May.  We are a “green” facility that actively seeks ways to limit waste. We have a unique access to experimental hops from the OSU-Indie Hops breeding program. Our mission is to brew tasty new flavors with unique hops we had a hand in crafting, such as “Strata.”

We are looking for a Chief Executive Officer who will have strategic and operational responsibility for the overall success of the company. The role will provide hands on and strategic leadership for all aspects of the business including: sales, marketing, operations, culture and safety. The CEO will work closely and collaborate with the Owner, leadership team, suppliers, and customers to establish and implement long-range goals, strategies, plans & policies and drive the team forward to accomplish those goals in a timely manner. The ability to identify sales opportunities and deliver success is pivotal.

Who You Are

  • Experience leading a brewery & restaurant division with multiple locations
  • Experience navigating the Three Tier system
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required
  • 7-10 years of experience in a senior management role within the beverage industry including fiscal responsibility for the organization
  • Demonstrated track record of building successful, growing brands
  • Strategic long-term thinking as well as the ability to delve into details as needed
  • Ability to translate vision into deliverables with above average speed
  • Experience in developing relations with distributors and key accounts in the beverage industry
  • Analytical approach to key decision making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Prioritize the activities of Worthy’s sales force
  • Expand draft sales
  • Develop collaboration brews with fellow breweries
  • Seize opportunities to open up new territories
  • Nurture and enhance relationships with current and potential customers, building trust and      establishing rapport
  • Bolster the success of our restaurant
  • Build a plan for expanding Worthy satellite pubs         
  • Lead, Lead, Lead.
  • Prove that the Italian philosopher Horace was dead wrong when around 40 B.C. he lectured that being virtuous and making money were basically incompatible.

  • Competitive base salary plus share of bonus pool
