Packaging Operator

Job Description: 

Job Purpose:

A Packaging Operator is responsible for running packaging equipment safely and efficiently during a packaging shift while maintaining a focus on quality

Compensation: $15+ Compensation is based on experience along with regular increases based on skills mastered


  • Operate packaging equipment in safe and efficient manner while focusing on quality
  • Following SOP’s
  • Perform quality control checks on finished product and bright beer tanks
  • Accurately document QC checks
  • Accurately reporting production
  • Forklift operations
  • Maintain equipment in a clean sanitary manner
  • Preventative maintenance on packaging equipment
  • Inventory control
  • Tracking raw materials throughout a packaging run
  • Mix pack operations or repack operations
  • Cross training teammates
  • Communicate effectively and work well with other departments
  • Achieve department goals for safety, quality, efficiency and Cost
  • Taste panel work as needed

  • Harpoon training for OSHA approved Forklift certification

  • Proficient knowledge of Micro-soft office applications
  • Valid MA driver’s license

  • Comply with all company policies

Work Environment:

  • Working on feet all day
  • Wet, cold & noisy area
  • Working with strong chemicals

Physical Job requirement:

Repetitive handling of 20+ lb cases and kegs
